This is the release reference. A deployment's /openapi.json and /docs
describe its installed routes and offer authenticated requests against that
instance. OIDC login routes require ASTRABOX_WEB_IDENTITY=oidc; Agent routes
require the Agent feature. Installed providers determine channel configuration,
program options and available tools.
Authentication and protocol contracts
Ordinary protected routes accept the deployment's browser identity or access
token. The x-required-api-scope extension states the scope an API token needs;
admin routes also require the administrator role. Local identity deployments
assert the local administrator without a credential. The admin-api family
also checks ASTRABOX_ADMIN_API_TOKEN when configured.
JWT identity deployments use their verified bearer contract. Trusted-header deployments use the authenticating gateway's configured user/group headers and, when configured, its gateway secret. Their deployed OpenAPI describes those actual header names. See team login for the identity modes.
Capability routes authorize their own credentials: share and artifact-share
links use their token, sbxcap uses the sandbox capability, sandbox callbacks
use their signed callback path, and platform MCP uses the HMAC in its URL.
Assistant A2A requires its workspace-and-target-bound bearer. Deployment triggers
use the configured scene's HMAC or native provider authentication.
JSON REST success responses use code, message, and data. Errors carry the
platform envelope where documented; use the HTTP status as authoritative.
Downloads return bytes. Conversation and terminal streams, Artifact live
updates, sampling, and streaming A2A calls return SSE. MCP and A2A use their
native protocol messages and errors rather than a REST success envelope.
A2A 1.0 types come from the official protobuf-derived schema;
its protocol specification
is authoritative. Push notifications and tenant routing are unsupported.
MCP negotiates its protocol version at initialize; tool inputs and results
are discovered with tools/list. Program-owned parts, interactions, capabilities,
configuration and SessionStore entries retain their native fields. Provider
catalog responses describe the supported configuration fields. Open objects
in those positions are extension contracts.
Provider callback proxies forward their native path, query, headers, bytes and
status. The catalog includes those integration entry points. Third-party
management UI assets and their internal API proxies, /docs, /redoc, and the
console's static files are outside AstraBox's product API; use the relevant
vendor's API documentation for those services.
See authentication, pagination, errors, event streams, A2A, Agent MCP, and Artifacts for workflows and examples.
